The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Episode 6, Everything Comes to a head.

Sauron Drops his illusion

The Rings of Power has had a lot of criticism thrown it's way, but its portrayal of Sauron isn't one of them.

This show has been nothing but peak in its portrayal of Sauron, except of course the fact that Sauron was never the man called Halbrand, instead he directly came as Annatar, the elven Lord of Gifts to make the Elves make Rings for him.

All sixteen of which were originally meant for Elves, but they would immediately sense his Deception so he gave them to Dwarves who became Greedy and were no use to him and Men who became the Nazgul, obviously the show follows none of that.

What it does follow is an accurate portrayal of Sauron's Manipulative Tendencies, and how it will inevitably lead to the downfall of Eregion as the Nine are forged and the Nazgul are born.
