Marvel's What if...? Season 3 episode 2, Hollywood and Agatha on Steroids.(Spoilers)

Agatha in Black and white.

You know the last episode was a Deep Emotional Story Disguised as an Epic marvel Gundam Battle. Thi s episode is about one story disguised as another story.

Agatha goes to Hollywood, I guess I was stupid to think that this would just be a silly little episode about Agatha taking her glitz and glamour to the ultimate place of Glitz and Glamour, I mean I really should have learnt my lesson.

And the thing is, I don't really know what to feel about this episode, on the one hand, it is quite silly, because like, Agatha and Kingo fall in love because they did a Bollywood/Hollywood dance together which was actually them fighting over whether it is better to let the world be destroyed or to eat the world destroyer.

It ends, with the two of them getting married probably, and it also... also... made me think about Naach Mera Hero, a song/dance that I never want to even imagine let alone be reminded of it's existence.

The Bollywood dance
You know, Somehow "Bollywood Music Playing" sums this up perfectly.

And to add to the silliness of it all the episode ends happily after Agatha became a star Lady and killed Arishem the Judge.

There is also the slight problem of Agatha's Powers being the same but also the exact reverse of what they have been in the past.

For One, in the MCU proper, Agatha can steal power only when she is blasted with it, and if she takes enough of it, they die.

Here, she takes power but sucking it after forming a sigil of Baphomet, That is the reverse pentagram for those who don't know, and... while they die some of the time, they don't always.

I mean, the eternals have to be de powered if they were alive but not able to escape, so Agatha did take all of their power, but they are fine, I guess it's cause they are space robots, and therefore technically not alive, but Kingo calls them revived... and somehow taking the power kills Arishem, Okay I am being unfair, Agatha could simply have used the stolen power to kill Arishem separately.

But on the other hand, I really really like the Idea, and I would be lying if I didn't say that I had a giant smile on my face throughout the episode.

You see this silliness is kind of the point, The entire idea is to highlight the absurdity an shallowness of Hollywood, while showing the truth of the events underneath.

Cinema has long since profited from tragedies as is highlighted in movies such as Scream, where the aftermath of gruesome serial killings is responded to by making a movie about it.

The reality is horrible, Hollywood paints over it to make a quick buck, but this episode also takes a more hopeful approach to it, it looks at movies as stories, and how stories inspired by real life can inspire people to do better. Even if beneath all that what is really happening could mean the possible end of the world.

Kingo tells Agatha that she is already great actually

So yes, This episode has its own unique flare, it tries to make fun of Hollywood but also points out the good that it has done, and can do, and while it does have a seemingly happy ending, the death of Arishem will lead to unwanted attention like Kingo said.

And it would seem that this Happy ending is only a ruse, to prepare for the true Dangers of What if...?
